Our Halloween Themed Holiday Days:

Early Drop-Off from 8am (Optional Booking)

Children can be booked onto the extended day options at an additional cost. using this time, children will be based in a classroom or small hall where they will have the opportunity to play card games, board games, connect 4, uno, join in with some colouring or simply enjoy chatting with the other children on camp.

Standard Drop-Off: 8:45am

Children that are booked on for a standard day will start to arrive. Upon arrival, children will be allocated groups i.e. mini energy, little energy and big energy. These groups are sorted according to ages and are dependent on the number of children attending on that particular day.

Manager’s Briefing: 9:10am

Children are reminded of the Total Sports standards and are officially introduced to their coaches and are informed of the key information for the day.

The coaches then give the children two choices of which activity they would like to play for session 1. The activity that receives the highest number of votes is the activity everyone plays. On days where we have larger numbers, it may be possible that a vote may not be necessary and the children can just play their preferred activity each session.

Session 1 – 9:15am – 10:10am

The children will go to the sports hall / hall to take part in their chosen activity. A typical usually starts with a high energy game such as tig games. This way the children can get involved from the beginning and mix with lots of other children without worrying if they know anyone or not.

At the end of every session there is an opportunity to go to the toilet. However, every child must go with a buddy and member of staff. Drinks breaks are also incorporated into each session, and the child will have their bottle with them at each activity.

Session 2 – 10:15am – 11:15am

Children will vote on two more activities i.e. arts and crafts or den building.

Break time – 11:15 – 11:30am

As the children have worked up an appetite, break time is the perfect opportunity for the children to grab a snack and a drink, go to the toilet and chill out with their friends.

Session 3 – 10:15am – 11:15am

Children will vote on two more activities i.e. dodgeball or ultimate frisbee

Lunch time – 12:30pm – 1:15pm

WOW! Our little superstars are ready for their lunch (a reminder we are a nut-free camp – please do not pack anything containing nuts, especially chocolate spread sandwiches). The children eat their lunch all together and it’s lovely to hear them talking about their day and their interests.

Supervised Free Play – 1:15pm – 2:00pm

The children will be provided with a variety of equipment from skipping ropes to bean bags, tennis balls, footballs, mats, netballs etc and will be able to choose with their friends which activities they would like to do. Some people also prefer to have a bit of downtime with their friends or enjoy a slower pace. Where possible, we will try and get some fresh air but if the weather isn’t great – we will enjoy our free play in the hall.  

Session 4 – 2:00pm – 2:45pm

Children will vote on two more activities i.e. energy football or hectic.

Session 5 – 2:45pm – 3:30pm

Children will vote on two more activities i.e. inflatables / WOW activities or manhunt.

Certificates & De-Brief – 3:30pm – 4:00pm

Coaches and managers will celebrate the day’s successes and acknowledge standout performers from each group. This could be for being kind or helpful, best dancer, team winner, most improved, best listener – plenty of ways to earn a certificate or a sweet treat!

Home Time – 3:45 – 4pm

Children will get their bags, coats and lunch boxes together from the relevant stations and parents will collect their child from the registration desk. Please note, parents must provide a security code which they created in their online account – this is to adhere to our safeguarding policy.

During this time, we will also notify parents of any successes, issues or first aid treatment administered throughout the day (any first aid treatment provided for something more severe i.e. a head bump – we will contact you when it happened).

Extended Day – 4:00pm – 5pm

Children booked on for an extended day are playing lots of fun games in the classroom such as uno, jenga, connect 4, dobble, twister or sometimes outside – either way – we always make sure they’ve got a smile on their face and are having fun!

Home Time – 5:00 – 5:30pm

Our opening hours are 8am until 5:30pm as we know childcare can be a worry when parents are working 9am until 5pm. Therefore, parents can pay a small fee to extend their child’s day. The children carry on playing various games whether its splat, memory games, quizzes, a dance off or simply playing some card games and enjoying colouring! Last pick up is 5:30pm.
