Our clubs run during every school holiday. We can offer flexible working arrangements, particularly at Easter and during the summer. Whether you want to work during one holiday period, for a few weeks of the summer or throughout the season, we will do our best to accommodate your availability.

What will I be doing?

Our award-winning holiday clubs are brilliant places to work. As a lifeguard, you will help ensure that children aged 5–13 enjoy a safe, positive and memorable experience during swimming and water-based activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising swimming pools and water-based activities
  • Maintaining constant observation of children in and around the water
  • Enforcing pool-safety rules and procedures
  • Responding quickly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies
  • Carrying out relevant safety checks
  • Supporting coaches and the camp manager during swimming sessions
  • Helping children feel safe, confident and included
  • Assisting with other appropriate camp activities when required

We want our team members to bring energy, enthusiasm and professionalism to every session. You will work alongside experienced coaches and camp managers while receiving quality training, support and feedback.

This role is ideal if you want to spend the school holidays helping children make lasting memories while gaining valuable experience within the sport, leisure, education or childcare industries.

Experience and Requirements

Experience working with children is essential.

Applicants for lifeguarding roles must hold a valid lifeguarding qualification suitable for the venue. Coaching, teaching and additional first-aid qualifications are desirable but not essential.

All staff must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate. If you do not already have one, we can assist you with the application process.

Limited placement opportunities may be available for candidates who want to gain additional experience. Permanent work in our partner schools during the academic year may also be available to exceptional team members.
